Maryland Appeals Lawyers

Decisions made in the District Courts, Circuit Courts and Orphans' Courts in Maryland can be appealed. In some cases, appeals are to the Circuit Court. But, most appeals are to the Court of Special Appeals (Maryland's Intermediate Appellate Court) or the Court of Appeals (Maryland's Highest Court). Appeals to these courts are based upon written briefs and oral arguments. There is no witness testimony and oral arguments are typically less than 1 hour. Decisions are often not published. When the courts decide that a particular case is appropriate, it is published. Any good law library will have these published cases. What follows is a representative listing of Mr. Meng's published cases. Md. App refers to the Court of Special Appeals; Md. refers to the Court of Appeals.
